"Sunbeam II" patient lifted aboard the ship, 1931

Description

The crew of the Sunbeam II lifted a patient aboard the ship. Sans Varnum, Steward, Ralph Joy, Engineer, and Captain Ralph Frye stood on the bow to the right of the image. Bystanders on the dock and crew members aboard the Andrea Joyce watched the action.

The Maine Seacoast Mission has been a trusted friend along the Maine coast since 1905. Rooted in a history of compassionate service and mutual trust, the Mission has sought to strengthen coastal and island communities by educating youth, supporting families, and promoting good health.
