Description
At the launching party of theĀ Sunbeam IV, held at Blount Marine in Warren, Rhode Island, Mrs. Tertius Van Dyke, presiding, is seen smashing a bottle of champagne on the bow of the newly constructed ship, a tradition meant to bring the vessel and its crew many years of luck. Superintendent Neal Bousfield stands to her right.
