Description
Photo of Charles Lindbergh taken on July 24th, 1927. The once-famous pilot unexpectedly landed at Old Orchard Beach as the foggy weather denied him access to his original destination, Scarborough Airfield. The Portland Press Herald published this photograph on July 25th, 1927. The single figure of Lindbergh's head was cropped from the original photo by a staff photographer.
