Description
This photograph depicts a flooded street in Farmington, with a large building and canoe in the distance.
In the winter of 1922-1923, Maine experienced significant snowfall. That May, several days of torrential rain led to major flooding across the state, including the Sandy River in Farmington, which overflowed its banks and covered Interval Road with water.
