Description
Eleven men standing with canoes and camping equipment at the shore of Meddybemps Lake. The two men standing at the left are Leonard Small (1872-1938) and Philip J. Teele (1872-1944), who traveled with Jack Howard on the S.S.Cumberland between Boston and Eastport, Maine, in 1900 or 1901. The man standing fifth from the right is a guide identified as "Otis."
Photographed ca. 1900-1901 by John Brooks "Jack" Howard (1875-1971). The photograph was also rendered as a lantern slide whose label reads: "Bunch before start Meddybemps m."
