Description
Portland Press Herald reporters photographed Lieutenant Henry Fortune carefully displaying the .38 caliber pistol used by Benjamin Turner to murder James D. Hallen, a well-known swindler, stock salesman, and promoter, on his front porch.
Turner traveled 3000 miles from Mexico City to murder Hallen, who conned him out of $827 by posing as a lawyer in Mexico while Turner was in jail.
