Description
Architecture commission for Edgar Scott at an unknown address in Bar Harbor, ME, 1900. The commission is associated with Frederick L. Savage. This item is part of the Patrick Chassé landscape architecture collection.
"Chiltern” was the estate of Edgar T. Scott, U.S. Secretary to the Ambassador for France, with gardens designed by Beatrix Farrand. The house was torn down, but the carriage house and stables are now part of the Chiltern Inn in Bar Harbor:
