Description
A 1911 American Underslung, built by the American Motor Car Co., Indianapolis, Indiana, between 1906 and 1914.
This car was originally owned by Larz Anderson when he was U.S. Ambassador to Belgium.
The American Underslung got its name from the frame slung below the axles, which gave a low appearance and center of gravity, but did not sacrifice good ground clearance.
The car was designed by Harry Stutz. It had a 50 horsepower, 4 cylinder engine.
