Mark Langdon Hill was born in August 1896, in Maine, to Frederick Dayton Hill, and his wife, Louise Morse Bridges. He married Edith H. Harvey on 30 April 1927, in Hamilton, Ohio. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. He lived in Portland, Maine, in 1930 and Falmouth, Maine, in 1940. He died on 9 June 1959, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 62, and was buried in Cincinnati, Ohio
