Description
Five men are gathered at a hunting camp with a slain deer. Jack Howard (left) and another man carry the deer, suspended from a pole, while three others stand on the steps or porch of the camp building. A guide, identified as "Bill," stands on the left side of the porch. Two men, Jack Howard and the man in the center, wear sweaters bearing the monogram of the Medford Boat Club. John Brooks "Jack" Howard (1875-1971) photographed the scene during a hunting and fishing trip to Washington County circa 1900.
