John Brooks "Jack" Howard photographed two rustic log cabins set in a scrubland with a woodland backdrop in Maine in 1906. He stored the original photograph, from which he made a lantern slide, in a paper sleeve along with other celluloid negatives labeled "Maine Trip 1906."
