Description
John C. Littlefield stands in a barn with a small calf at his right side. Born in Rockport, Maine, he was the brother of Hattie Littlefield Quinn and spent his career as a hotel employee. Eagle Island, an unincorporated area of Maine located in Penobscot Bay between North Haven and Deer Isle, was purchased in 1844 by Samuel Quinn from John C. Gray. Today, the island remains largely in the hands of Quinn's descendants.
Maine Seacoast Mission has been a trusted friend along the Maine coast since 1905. Rooted in a history of compassionate service and mutual trust, the Mission seeks to strengthen coastal and island communities by educating youth, supporting families, and promoting good health.
