Description
John C. Littlefield (1884 –1972), the brother of Hattie Littlefield Quinn, worked as a hotel employee. Eagle Island, located in Penobscot Bay between North Haven and Deer Isle, became the property of Samuel Quinn in 1844 after he acquired it from John C. Gray. His descendants continue to primarily own the island.
Maine Seacoast Mission has been a trusted friend along the Maine coast since 1905. Rooted in a history of compassionate service and mutual trust, the Mission seeks to strengthen coastal and island communities by educating youth, supporting families, and promoting good health.
