Description
Captain Arthur and Elizabeth Mitchell showed off their new Dodge in Etta Morris's driveway. Captain Arthur served as the lighthouse keeper from 1929 to 1952. Established in 1836 in Stockton Springs, Fort Point Light aided vessels bound for Bangor, a leading lumber port. Stockton Springs also served as a lumber port and a shipping point for Maine's potato industry.
Maine Seacoast Mission has been a trusted friend along the Maine coast since 1905. Rooted in a history of compassionate service and mutual trust, the Mission seeks to strengthen coastal and island communities by educating youth, supporting families, and promoting good health.
