Description
On August 8, 1926, the Portland Sunday Telegram and Sunday Press Herald published an article about Camp Gregory, a Catholic boys' camp located on the shores of Crystal Lake in Gray. The feature showcased a photo collage with several pictures of young campers participating in typical summer camp activities, such as swimming, diving, and boxing. The article emphasized the camp’s amenities, introduced its staff, described its activities, and included a detailed list of the boys attending that year.
This photograph offers an alternate view of one featured in the publication, showing two boys boxing under the supervision of a camp instructor.
