Horses and carriages can be seen along Congress Street in Portland in front of H.M. Smith Photographer storefront, also showing Turner Brothers Dry and Fancy goods, J.R. Libby and Eastman Bros. & Bancroft.
H.M. Smith was located at 478 Congress St., at the corner of Center Street.
