Description
A photographic print of Dr F. F. Innis in a drawing of a horse and pung in front of his home and office on Court Street, Houlton, c. 1890. His dog, Brownie, a well known figure in town, is also pictured.
A pung, as differentiated from a sleigh, is a work vehicle with space for transporting materials on the bed behind the seat. By contrast, a sleigh has large curling, turned up runners in front and was exclusively designed for transporting people.
