Description
In 1903, Silas W. Taber of Houlton patented two improvements on the then regionally common drop-axle wagon, also known as a jigger wagon. Taber added a truss bar to strengthen the axle and a brace for the king pin.
This Taber wagon is located at the McElwain Farm, Route 161, north of Caribou.
