Description
Large, wood construction press for compressing hay bales by means of horse power pulling a steel cable that rotates a large wooden wheel and pulls sides of press together, the hay thus compressed is held together by long, wires wrapped around the bale.
he bale weighs many hundred of pounds. It is thought to have been in use in the late 1920s and early 1930s.
