Description
Copy print of an albumen stereograph. Longfellow wrote in a letter to Eunice Whitney Farley Felton, wife of his good friend Cornelius Conway Felton, on September 20, 1878, "Returning home I found...Edith, waiting for me to go with her to Mrs. Bradley's and see the Herons of Elmwood. And as we went out of the door, there stood another photographer with his deadly instrument aimed at us, and insisting upon taking us as we stood on the steps."
