Description
Moses Greenleaf wrote to his family while he was in the Civil War. He discussed conditions of the march, He wrote from Missouri about the "big job" ahead of the troops before heading to Memphis.
Greenleaf, a native of Maine, served in Co. I of the 9th Minnesota Infantry Regiment. He was the grandson of the noted cartographer and surveyor Moses Greenleaf Jr.
