Moses Greenleaf (1836-1870) wrote to his family from Jefferson City, Missouri, about his thoughts of getting married, lack of stimulating reading material or activity, and his optimism that the rebellion is nearly over.
Greenleaf, a native of Maine, served in Co. I of the 9th Minnesota Infantry Regiment.
