Description
Moses Greenleaf (1836-1870), a Union soldier in the Civil War, wrote to his family about an expected attack on his fort.
Greenleaf, a native of Maine, served in Co. I of the 9th Minnesota Infantry Regiment. He was the grandson of the noted cartographer and surveyor Moses Greenleaf Jr.
