Description
Moses Greenleaf writes to his family from the Army's winter quarters in Eastport, Mississippi, where he hopes the troops can get rested before the spring campaign.
Greenleaf, a native of Maine, served in Co. I of the 9th Minnesota Infantry Regiment. He was the grandson of the noted cartographer and surveyor Moses Greenleaf Jr.
