Perks Brothers Building, Houlton, 1894

Description

In 1894 William S. Perks and Charles E. Perks built the Perks Building on Market Square. Both brothers, trained as pharmacists, operated the drug store on the main floor, rented the second floor for offices and rented the top floor hall to the Ancient Order of the Hibernians.
