Description

Home of Ransford W. Shaw on Military St., Houlton. The house burnt in the Great Fire of Houlton in 1902.

Ransford W. Shaw served in the Maine State Senate (1893-1895) and was Attorney General of the State of Maine (1920-1924) as well as a trustee of Bates College for 12 years. Shaw was also one of the founders of the Aroostook County Historical and Art Museum.
