Plaque on the Trenton Bridge, 1920

Description

This plaque was originally placed on the bridge that was dedicated on May 31, 1920 and is now on the current bridge that was built circa 1957. The dedication was attended by an estimated 8000 people. The Trenton Bridge is also known as the Mt. Desert Bridge. The plaque states, "This bridge is dedicated to the soldiers, sailors and marines of Hancock County."
