Description
Harriet Beecher Stowe House, 63 Federal Street, Brunswick.
The Stowe family rented this home for two years (1850-1852) while Harriet's husband, Calvin Stowe, taught at Bowdoin College. It was in this house that Stowe wrote her famous novel "Uncle Tom's Cabin."
