Description
The currier's slick is used for smoothing leather. This one is signed: "C J KIMBALL & SON". Caleb Jewett Kimball worked in Milford and Bennington, New Hampshire. The Kimballs were famous for their high quality drawknives, which were produced in sufficient quantities to be frequently encountered today. The currier's slick is less common. The handles are made of wood, the ferrules of brass, and the blade of steel.
