Description
Portland Fire Department District Chief William R. Read with the District Two buggy, Hose 8, and Steam Engine 8 at the fire station at 536 Deering Avenue.
Other staff at the station in 1912 were Amos S. Knight, captain; Edward D. Ayer, lieutenant; Gilman W. Martin, driver of engine; Fred W. Hayes, driver of hose; and Frederick C. Larsen and Frank E. Banks, drivers.
