Description
Charles C. West (1820-1903), author of "Sketches of Camp Life in the Wilds of the Aroostook Woods, Aroostook County, Maine," owned a livery stable in Houlton, was a taxidermist and, in later years, a woodsman and hunting and fishing guide.
Charles West dedicated his book to his close friend, Walter Mansur and was a frequent subject of E. (Edward) B. White's photographs.
