Description
Roy Wilhelm raised pure-bred Swiss goats. Walter Cook is pictured here tending one of the herd.
According to Francis Gilman, who grew up in Lovell, "Wilhelm would have people over on weekends-sort of an 'open house'. One thing he always asked was that people smell his goats to prove they were not smelly animals. He insisted people smell his goats. He would also offer his goats' milk to drink."
Wilhelm retired to Stoneham and kept a working farm. He also ran a German Sheperd kennel.
