Description
The Rev. Benjamin Stevens, minister of the First Church in Kittery Point, wrote to the assessors to gain permission to turn two pews into "singing" pews.
Stevens (1721-1791) served as a minister for 41 years and is buried in the Congregational Church Cemetery in Kittery Point.
