Description
While away at school in Auburn, Sarah F. Sanborn, age 14, wrote to her father Peter F. Sanborn of East Readfield. She mentioned attending the sensational trial of George Knight for the murder of his wife Mary Knight. She commented on how the trial was going, and Knight's guilt. Sarah Sanborn and her father frequently wrote to one another.
Born in 1843, Sarah Sanborn later lived in Pasadena, California where she died in 1927.
