Description
A. E Mooers raised about 30 head of jersey cows on his farm on the Ludlow Road in Houlton in the late 1800s. The family carried the business on until the late 1930s. The Mooers delivered milk and cream to two local grocery stores: The Riley Brothers and Robinsons, and about 50 residential customers in the Houlton area.
