Description
Customs receipt for 1 puncheon (113 gallons) of rum for Shepard Cary, a Houlton Merchant who sold to the U.S. Army troops at Hancock Barracks.
Until the formation of Aroostook County in 1839 Houlton was part of Washington County, and thus a part of the Passamaquoddy Customs District.
