Joseph Fitch Potter, Sebago, ca. 1860

Description

Dr. Joseph Fitch Potter (1808-1869), a native of Sebago, attended town schools, North Bridgton Academy, and was a graduate of Bowdoin Medical College.

He moved to Cincinnati, Ohio.

He left about $32,000 to the Town of Sebago in trust for maintenance of an academy to be built after his widow's death.
