Description
This photo was taken during an open house at Dow Field, probably in 1944. The Dow serviceman is showing community members the various rations that are used in the field. They appear to be both "K" rations and "C" rations. The base open house was used as an opportunity for the military to show the civilian population what military life was like and showcased many of the implements and accessories for the soldier or airman.
