Description
Jake Day dressed in Fourth of July costume, July 4, 1937.
He lived alone in a boarding house in Steep Falls, had a small bucksaw and went around sawing wood for people and doing other odd jobs.
Every year he decorated his pushcart on the 4th of July, put on a false beard and paraded around the village by himself playing his accordion.
