Description
This pitcher has a drawing of the Portland Observatory with signals numbered and explained. On reverse: the ship Washington with another ship flying the "W" signal flag. This image on the pitcher can be attributed to Lemuel Moody who created a watercolor of the Observatory complete with signal flags in 1807 - (see Record #6157)
