Program, 'L'Amour A Bord,' Lewiston, 1939

Description

Jean-Baptiste Couture of Lewiston translated Gilbert and Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore. The program is for the production, known in French as L'Amour A Bord, done in 1939.

The comic opera was a benefit for Sts. Peter and Paul Church. The performance was at the Music Hall in Lewiston.

Couture, a Franco-American civic leader, produced a number of dramas in the Lewiston-Auburn community.
