Description
The "Old Blue" chairlift, Maine's first, was installed in 1954 and made the sport of skiing accessible to millions of people.
At left is Don Moen, public relations director at Pleasant Mountain. At right is Peter Solari, outside mountain manager. Part of their jobs was skiing every day to insure familiarity with the mountain.
The photo was taken during the winter of 1971-1972.
