Contributed by Shawnee Peak Ski Area through Ski Museum of Maine
Description
Margaret May, left, and Doris Kloth look at a brochure at the Pleasant Mountain Ski School in Bridgton.
Robert May took the photo of his wife, and Kloth, who was on skis for the first time. The Mays and Doris and Luther Kloth were newlywed couples from Falmouth.
May sent the photo to the ski area.
The Pleasant Mountain Ski School taught the new and exciting sport to many thousands from the 1930s to the present time. This was probably a publicity shot.
