Old lookout, Azicoos Mountain, Lincoln Plantation, ca. 1929

Description

The old Forest Service lookout tower on Aziscoos Mountain, ca. 1929. The wood tower was built in 1910 and rebuilt in 1917. It was relocated in 1919.

Mountains visible from the tower include Katahdin, Kennebago, Saddleback, Baldpate, Bigelow, and Boundary Bald. More than 25 bodies of water also are visible.
