Description
Built in 1869 and demolished in 1938, the Newport House, also called Newport Hotel, was located just south of the present day Agamont Park. It also included luxury cottages. The Shaw Path is possibly a misspelling of the Shore Path. The Shore Path runs along the eastern shore of Mount Desert Island. The path was created in 1880.
