Description
A schooner loading granite at the long, deepwater shorefront of Hall Quarry around 1900. The schooners in this photograph have been identified by Ralph Stanley as the Bloomer and the Isabell E. Wiley.
The granite industry was a major industry in Hall Quarry from the mid 1800s to 1965. Ships were used to haul the granite to other locations for sales.
