Description
William H. Cumming, a pharmacist in Houlton for more than sixty years, wrote some details about the early history of the Houlton airport.
His brother, Irvin Cumming, was the first station manager for Boston & Maine Airways at the Houlton Airport.
William was a cooperative observer for the Weather Service for more than 50 years.
Over the years he noted events in his diary. In about 1990 he transcribed notes from his diary about events relating to the airport to share with others.
