Description
Raymond Wheeler Stowell (1896-1963) letter to his mother Emma P. Stowell (1861-1857) written just days after the death of his brother, John Arthur Stowell (1896-1918) in France on the front lines.
He writes of his brother's death, his hopes to be home by Thanksgiving, and gossip of life back in Freeport.
