Description
This red flag with a central white rectangle has two stars, indicating that two sons were serving in World War I. The flag was flown by Mr. and Mrs. John Stowell of Freeport, Maine. The blue star is for their son Raymond, 103rd Infantry Med. Dept. The blue star with the gold overlay is for their son John Arthur, Musician 3rd class, 103rd Inf., who was killed in action in France, June 16, 1918.
