Description
View of Stockholm mills looking north showing the old wooden bridge. The box and veneer mill is on the left and the clothes pin mill is on the right. In addition to clothespins, the mill also made peavey and pick-pole handles for the lumbering industry, whiffletrees, snowshoes and perforated chair seats. The clothes pin mill was later convrted to a long lumber mill.
note: A whiffletree (also whippletree or swingletree) is a horizontal crossbar attached to the front of a wagon to which the traces of an animal are attached.
